I like Rockwool because of the fire resistance, mold resistance, and some soundproofing qualities, but I am worried that it will end up carrying the stigma of asbestos decades down the road. Like currently unknown (or unmentioned) health hazards folks won't find out about until years down the road. I mean, everyone thought asbestos was the best thing until they found out otherwise. Now everyone has to practically call the EPA to have asbestos tile removed from their basements. Would like to save future homeowners that pain.

There's a RUclips Channel called Uncontained Dreams with an actual wood worker and engineer with hands on experience if anyone is interested in knowing the genius real world builds that are being done with shipping containers.

They have great uses, but not as homes. Insulated and ventilated, they make good storage barns.

This city idea is trying to do too much. Why is it talking about people's eating habits? Why is not talking about working with floating piers? 2 years ago for project De Nieuwe Zijde Noord in the centre of the netherlands we applied rockwool elements 40cm thick underground to serve as a rainwater drainage system aswell as a sandbed replacement for the new tramrail foundation

i tested quartz at home and the tumeric stain did not go away.. so all those telling its non porous and so it will not stain is not true.. for indian households i dont think quartz is good..unless you do minimum cooking..

The only economical way to produce homes on mass scale is to build higher. Then, you could leave some personalisation to the customer if you leave walls exposed and open plans. That way you won't have to worry about codes as it would be homeowner's responsibility. The only drawback is infrastructure. Sudden increase in population density doesn't leave much time to local government to upgrade services capacity.

We need a fusion of IKEA and home depot, with Ebay like bidding for individualized sections of a home construction. May be its a pipe dream.🤞
